Rural Albanians abandon the countryside in search of work

In the past year a wave of people have left villages like Shishtavec, Albania, looking for work in the European Union. Villages like Shishtavec are now like ghost towns. Many migrants are sent back to Albania now, which was deemed a safe country near the end of 2015, accelerating deportations of Albanians living in the European Union.
