Climate change in Zimbabwe

On a Saturday night in Harare a street light in Harare Gardens is one of the few lights seen illuminating the city. Kariba Dam in the north of the country is the main generator of electricity for the country. After a year of little rainfall, the lake levels were as low as 12 percent capacity and the country, which used to export power, has had to start importing power. Power outages and rationing are common.
