A member of the Thanyani Poultry group walks between two chicken coops with her child on her back. CRS works with communities in Beitbridge, Zimbabwe, to mitigate impacts of the drought. One way is to encourage communities to work with drought resistant animals and plants. The Thanyani Poultry group of Lutumba, Beitbridge, is a group of women who together have three large chicken coops and more than 600 chickens. They sell them to individuals and have even made contracts with SPAR, a major supermarket in the area.
