Metropolitano, one of Lima's public transportation offerings, was inaugurated in 2010. Gas powered articulated buses circulate on dedicated bus lanes that are partitioned off the normal road. Passengers use reusable plastic cards and the fare is S/. 2 per ride. In this photograph Japanese tourists use the system for the first time. Photograph taken at the Javier Prado Station.
