Komiteti Cafe and Museum in Tirana, Albania, was started by Arber Cepani and features relics from Albania's past. Cepani traveled around Albania for about two years finding decorations for the space. Pictured here is a specialty liquor made only by one family in southern Albania that combines crystallized sugar and an Albanian flower. It is known as "liquor of Doloreza," named for the woman who makes it. Cepani, the son of an Albanian diplomat who spent about 20 years living abroad, says he believes it is important to know the history of the country and learn from it. For the younger generation, the cafe is a place to learn about the communist past. For the older generation Cepani says it is pure nostalgia.
